FrontPage

This is a demo for how I connect and modify the default.master. Master templates were part of the .net 2.0 framework and above. It is not necessary that you understand all these things but in short it is the file with all the place holders for the application.

 

 

 

It is not required that you have FrontPage you can edit files like this using FTP too, honestly I am lazy and just don't like to download a file edit it and then upload it again when I can do it live on the server.

 

Note these types of modifications are only necessary for you to get the proper look and feel. It is however the only way to edit your template upload your template files. The templates themselves are not exposed to the CMS system nor would you want them to be. If you have a developer, this is really their job to get it to look the way you want and then their job is certainly done.

 

You could want your developer to write you some custom modules for the CMS which are not included. This last bit comes with a warning as some developers do not know how to write .ascx files make sure that if you have a developer they are up to the task.
